The ingredients needed to make Shahi biryani:
  1. Take rice
  2. Get chicken
  3. Take ghee
  4. Prepare oil
  5. Get onion slices cut in slices
  6. Make ready potatoes cut in 4 piece
  7. Prepare Ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoon full
  8. Prepare green chilli
  9. Get coriander
  10. Get Garam masala 1 tabalespoon
  11. Make ready tomatoes chopped
  12. Prepare yougart
  13. Prepare redpepper
  14. Take haldi
  15. Take Salt
  16. Get red color

Marinate the chicken with garlic, ginger, coriander, green chilli, tomato. Shahi Chicken Biryani- A deliciously royal dish and truly a one dish wonder !! Biryani is one of the most favorite dish in our household. Although it's usually chicken or mutton biryani, this time I made a vegetarian version.

Steps to make Shahi biryani:
  1. Marinate the chicken with garlic, ginger, coriander, green chillie, tomatoes paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, dry garam masala powder,salt and yoghurt and keep it aside for half an hour.
  2. 2. Cook rice separately (do not cook fully. keep it semi-cooked), add salt, sprinkle it with color and keep aside.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in pan. Deep fry half the quantity of onions and all the potatoes till onion is golden brown. Remove both from the pan and keep aside.Fry the remaining onion in the same oil till slight golden brown and put the marinated chicken Cook for 20 minutes
  4. Take a separate utensil, put ghee and 1 tbsp of oil, half quantity of semi-cooked rice, all fried potatoes and half quantity of fried onions and milk of zafran.
  5. Put the cooked mutton on top of it and then cover it with the remaining semi-cooked rice.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves and rest of the fried onions.
  7. Tightly cover the utensil and cook for another 10 minutes
  8. Serve hot with salad and lem

Biryani is one of the most favorite dish in our household. Although it's usually chicken or mutton biryani, this time I made a vegetarian version. Mushroom are known for the texture that is very meaty. Shahi Korma Biryani is truly royal! Unlike the traditional method of adding loads of cream and ghee to make this "Shahi" recipe, here we use low fat milk.
